1950 - 1960... Introduced stonelined heaters into the highly acidic and aggressive water conditions of New England to provide a long life heater capable of sustaining a long term rental program. Overnight, renting water heaters by electric utilities became not only possible, but profitable.

1970 -1980... Developed first foam insulated tanks for energy conservation. Made standard internal heat traps, and cold inlet diffusers for improved efficiency. Exceeded industry standard conservation measures. Helped utilities reduce load associated with electric water heating.

1980 - 1990...Patented first SMART water heater - microprocessor driven control integral to the heater for controlling off-peak operation. Provided control necessary to qualify off-peak water heating as a DSM measure.

1994... Purchased fly ash from utilities and incorporated it into stone-lined heaters. Only water heater to be certified by Scientific Certification Systems for recycled content. Helped utilities use generation by-products, and promoted environmentally prudent heaters.  Fly Ash is however, no longer used.

1996... Introduced the TurnKey Rental Program, designed to help utilities with downsized marketing resources maintain competitive programs. Provides utilities with a program which is profitable, accessible, and able to compete in a deregulated environment.
